Environment

Protects your home.
Respects the planet.

Protects your home. Respects the planet.

The footprint of the Ariete armoured door is kept low throughout its whole life: from how it is built to how it reaches your home, right down to how the packaging is disposed of. And once it is fitted, it insulates so well that you spend less on heating your home. Security, comfort and respect for the environment in a single product.

Energy from the sun, materials that are reborn, recovered packaging. And in your home, a lighter energy bill.

Sustainability begins long before it reaches your home.

The plant where Ariete doors are made is set up to reduce its footprint right from production. Here is what that means in practice.

Ariete production department certified to ISO 14001

Plant certified to ISO 14001

The plant where Ariete doors are made is certified to the ISO 14001 standard, the international benchmark for environmental management. Energy use, emissions and waste are checked by an independent body and improved continuously. Not a statement of intent, but a method with precise rules.
Treatment plant in Ariete production

Single Environmental Authorisation (AUA)

The plant operates under the Single Environmental Authorisation (AUA), which brings together in one document the permits for atmospheric emissions and for the other environmental aspects of the processes. It is proof that every production stage stays within the legal limits.
Photovoltaic system on the roof of the Ariete factory

Energy from the sun

On the roof of the plant where Ariete doors are made there is a photovoltaic system that covers, on average, around 20% of the energy demand. It is clean energy produced where it is needed, which cuts both the draw from the grid and the emissions linked to consumption. A share set to grow every year.
Recyclable steel sheet for Ariete armoured doors

Materials that are reborn

Around 20% of the weight of each door is made of recyclable materials, starting with the electro-galvanised sheet: a material that, at the end of its life, is easily recovered and put back into circulation. A door designed to last a long time and that, when its time is up, does not simply become waste.
Water-based paint booth for Ariete doors

Water-based finishes

The finishes on Ariete doors use water-based paints instead of solvent-based ones. The look is exactly the same, but the use of solvents and the emissions they cause drop sharply. A choice that makes the process cleaner, not just the result.

A QR code to dispose of it properly

Every package carries a dedicated QR code. You scan it, choose your country and find the full list of materials with disposal instructions, already tailored to local recycling rules. That way recycling the packaging becomes simple, wherever you are.

Protected on the journey.
Without waste.

The Ariete armoured door reaches your home wrapped in cardboard and wood that are 90% recovered. They protect the door during transport and, once it arrives, they are easy to recycle. Fewer new raw materials, less waste.

Every day, it works to save you money.

The door is one of the points where a home loses the most heat. Ours reach as low as 0.8 W/m²K: among the most insulating on the market. Compared with an old door (around 3 W/m²K), you lose about 73% less heat through the door. Less cold at the entrance, no condensation, a boiler that works less.

Built to last.
Designed to come back.

An Ariete armoured door stays in place for decades. The longer it lasts, the fewer resources the planet has to spend making another one. And when its life cycle ends, almost everything it is made of goes back to being raw material.

Steel and wood, 80% of every door, go to recycling chains that are already well established. The highest security in Italy does not ask the planet to foot the bill.

The most important sustainability is people

Your Ariete armoured door stays with you for thirty years. The people who build it in the workshop and fit it in your home stay with us much longer still. They are the ones we think of first: the sustainability we are most proud of is born from respect for those who work every day, and it reaches all the way to your threshold.

Concrete. Measurable.

We believe respect for the environment is measured in facts, not promises. That is why here you will find only concrete data: the energy of the plant where Ariete doors are born, the packaging they travel in, the heat they keep inside your home.

20%

of the production plant’s demand covered by the sun

Energy from the sun. The photovoltaic system covers part of the energy use of the plant where Ariete doors are made, with fewer emissions upstream.

90%

packaging in recycled wood-based material

Packaging from recycling. Recovered cardboard and wood protect every door in transport, with fewer virgin raw materials.

0.8 W/m²K

among the most insulating armoured doors on the market

Thermal insulation. Less heat loss, more comfort: the door keeps the heat in and cuts out draughts.

FAQs

It means an independent body has verified the environmental management system of the plant where Ariete doors are made: how energy use, emissions and waste are controlled, and how they are improved over time. It is the international reference standard on environmental matters.

Yes. The door is one of the points where a home loses the most heat. Ours reach as low as 0.8 W/m²K: compared with an old door they hold in far more heat, so the boiler works less. The exact saving depends on your home, climate and heating system, but the principle always holds: less heat loss, less spending.

Around 20% of the weight is made up of recyclable materials, above all the electro-galvanised sheet, which is easily recovered at the end of its life.

The finishes use water-based paints, which sharply reduce the use of solvents and emissions compared with traditional paints.

On the roof of the plant there is a photovoltaic system that covers, on average, around 20% of the energy demand. The rest comes from the grid, but the renewable share grows every year.

On every package you will find a QR code: scan it, choose your country and get the list of materials and disposal instructions, kept up to date with local recycling rules.

Often yes. Thanks to its insulation values, in many cases it qualifies for Italian energy-saving tax relief. In the showroom we check your situation together and tell you straight away what you are entitled to.
